Customer Service Administrator

Location: Corby
Salary: £24,525.53 per annum, £12.58 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a customer-focused environment where you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Orders: Ensure accuracy in customer orders, manage delivery timelines, and communicate effectively with depot staff.

  • Teamwork & Customer Experience: Maintain a positive, team-focused environment, always striving to improve the customer’s experience.

  • Customer & Supplier Relationship: Develop and maintain proactive relationships with existing customers and suppliers.

  • Issue Resolution: Handle customer and supplier enquiries and complaints, investigate issues, and escalate to management when necessary.

  • Timely Administration: Ensure customer requirements are processed promptly and accurately.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support ongoing improvements in systems, processes, and employee satisfaction.

  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately input data into internal systems, create reports, and generate customer KPIs.

  • Invoice Creation: Collate accurate data for customer invoicing.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment in line with company Health & Safety policies.

Key Experience and Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to express empathy and handle customer interactions with tact and professionalism.

  • Dispute Resolution: Experience in resolving disputes calmly and fairly, with the ability to foresee and prevent potential issues.

  • Reporting & Recommendations: Strong report writing skills to document customer service activities and suggest improvements.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Technical Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical ability, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Financial Understanding: Good level of financial literacy.

  • Time Management & Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Team Collaboration: Strong “people skills” for building positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.

  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
